What is it?
“Perhaps Now is the Time” is a tabletop miniature “cabinet of curiousities,” or wunderkammer.
It contains a collection of “neat but why?” objects that I have collected over many years.
To make it, I rebuilt a mousey jewelry cabinet and relined the drawers with linen; its damaged top surface was replaced with circuit-board marquetry. The solar panel makes small orange lights faintly glow.
The artifacts inside are presented with my handwritten, faux-vintage labels: some literal, some poetic. I also include mini-zines and small art objects I’ve made.
Crucially, there are also a few extra labels to add your own artifacts—so this cabinet of curiousities will continue to grow along with its eventual owner(s).
