What is it?
This artwork lets you escape, aurally, to wilderness soundscapes far away. Press the button to begin playing sounds:
- crackling fire and singing cicadas
- waves clattering over a rocky beach
- carolling birds on a summer breeze
Each stops after a few minutes, or you can press the key again.
It is built with a novelty jumbo key, only available in garish colors; to achieve the requisite dull beige, it was painted and printed by the artist.
